2 days and 2 incredible rides at the Tour de France 2007

ITV4 has been running great coverage so far, both live and recorded. My only complaint is they wheel out the same old commentary team, who don't seem to spark off each other, make mistakes, and seem to get by on enthusiasm rather than originality or talent. Saturday saw the most amazing ride by Fabian Cancellara covering the 7.9km prologue in 8'50'', 13 seconds over the next man (a big gap in such a short race at this level), On Sunday Robbie McEwen crashed, got paced back by 4 team mates with 10km to go, somehow got through the peloton as it was steaming through Canterbury, then burst through in the last 200m and won with by a few bike lengths - an astonishing ride. Great to see so much racing on TV, a real treat.
