What was your memorable first film? Mine was S.W.A.L.K. (aka Melody)

I was an innocent kid growing up and the film I remember that first really made a major impact on me was about childhood love and friendship "S.W.A.L.K.". It's a beautiful film, that particularly resonates if you were lucky enough to be around the same age as the kids in the film when you first saw it.

I found out relatively recently it is better known as "Melody", having been determined to track down a DVD. I got lucky. There are fans and I managed to get one. I suppose it's the now, for sentimental reasons, my most valued DVD: the one I want to keep. Oddly this film has turned out to be a cult hit, particularly in Japan and Argentina. I first saw it in Saturday morning cinema which is a great English childhood tradition, sadly in decline. Just Google'd for "Saturday Morning Cinema England" and amazingly the top search result is at a venue just down the road from where I now live. When I used to go it was a lot of fun, loads of kids, adults not allowed and wasn't just a single movie but lots of cartoons and short films, with the odd long one like S.W.A.L.K. Before I sign off on this, there is a warm fan site for Melody and Tracey Hyde in particular.
