Linux howto : Sansa Clip+ a brilliant little flac/ogg/mp3 player

I was looking to replace my 2GB Samsung ogg/mp3 player so bought one of these Sansa Clip+ 8GB on Amazon a while back for under £40 with 8GB flash memory and another £10 for a 8GB MicroSDHC card. Big attractions were high degree of confidence it would work well with Linux systems, it price, size, flac and ogg support and it had good reviews. Adding POIs to Mercedes-Benz COMAND / NAVI

If you have a Mercedes-Benz car with inbuilt Satnav and a data card slot (e.g. SD) then this post may be of interest to you, including Howto, Details, POI Services, POI Icons, Linux, Resources. This may all be applicable to all such cars, but tested working on a 2017 W222. I used Linux ( Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS) although any other modern OS will do, such as Windows or OSX. Howto get an SD card that your car can read (1GB is more than enough) on a computer add the folder PersonalPOI to the SD card obtain GPX files and make sure they have the GPX extension and comply with Mercedes GPX format (need GPX files? see 3rd Party POI Services below) then, copy over the GPX files (see the discussion here on formatting) to this PersonalPOI folder in your car, put your SD card in the SD card slot open the car's SatNav (e.g NAVI) and wait for the POIs to load (5-10 secs, for me) the POIs can not be imported to the COMAND hard drive, so the SD card must always be present in the SD card s

Three big IT companies come to mind, one I know relatively well : Oracle : around 50 since 2005, and apparently the rule is 60 days to integrate. Impressive. Red Hat (*) : 15 in total currently, though I think that is short at least two: Ars Digita and Sistina Cisco : lots, 16 of them beginning just with the letter "A" Am interested what metrics there are to measure the relative success of A&Ms. Heard it said more than once that Cisco is particularly good at buying other companies. (*) Unlike Cisco and Oracle, Red Hat does not list its acquisitions on its site, so used wikipedia instead which looks about right
